At The Institute of Business Consulting Awards in December 2009, Nottinghamshire-based Director Sarah Coleman of Business Evolution won the award entitled 'Outstanding Commitment to Continuous Professional Development'. The Institute of Business Consulting continues its campaign to encourage business consultants to commit to Continuing Professional Development as well as promoting the benefits clients can receive from business consultants who demonstrates current practice. Sarah is herself a guest speaker / lecturer at the Cranfield School of Management as well as being a proactive volunteer in many East Midlands-based initiatives.
Sarah's response to winning this award was: "I am delighted to have achieved national recognition from the Institute of Business Consulting. I believe it is important that all professionals continue their professional development in order to keep up with rapidly changing and evolving developments in business. I see an integral part of my consultancy role is to ensure I keep up to date with current thinking and best practice in order to keep my skills and experience relevant to my clients, so providing direct benefit to them. For me, CPD is about the benefits that professional development can bring to my clients, to me and to my business."
Lynda Purser, Director of the Institute of Business Consulting, commented: "Sarah clearly demonstrates that she is passionate about keeping her knowledge and skills up to date (and in fact would put a lot of our CPD record keeping to shame). Her CPD is driven by both her own interests and her client requirements ensuring that she provides her clients with the most relevant techniques and knowledge."
This is the second award Sarah has achieved. In March 2009, she was awarded The Growth Enabler Professional Excellence Award for Business Coaching in recognition of her quality business coaching with businesses in the East Midlands.
