Wilkinson was founded in 1930 by James Kemsey Wilkinson when he opened the first Wilkinson Cash Store in Leicester. Now a third generation family business, Wilkinson boasts hundreds of stores across the UK exceeding 6 million sq ft in trading space, a rebrand of the stores, continued expansion into Scotland, a new product sourcing business based in Asia and new offices in Hong Kong. In 2010/11, Wilkinson posted a £1.5bn turnover and invested heavily in people, systems, technology and procedures. Business Evolution worked with the Head of Business Transformation and the Talent Manager to identify specific skills gaps for their project management community leading on Wilkinson's major strategic initiative of Business Transformation. As a result, we were invited to design, develop and deliver a programme to cover Stakeholder Engagement, Influence and Communication across a project management community representing various levels of seniority and experience. |
